Disney World Checkout Day: What to Do With Your Luggage Before an Evening Flight

Your Disney World vacation may be ending, but an evening flight from Orlando International Airport (MCO) doesn’t mean your last day has to end at checkout.

Disney Resort hotels have an 11:00 AM checkout time, which can leave several hours between leaving your room and heading to the airport. Fortunately, there are a few ways to handle your luggage while squeezing a little more out of Orlando.

Leave Your Luggage at Your Disney Resort

If you’re staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, one of the easiest options is Bell Services. Disney allows resort guests to store luggage with Bell Services after checkout and pick it up later that day.

This works especially well if you plan to spend your final hours close to your hotel. The downside? You’ll need to return to the resort to collect your bags before continuing to MCO.

Spend Your Last Afternoon at Disney Springs

For travelers with an evening flight, Disney Springs makes an easy final stop. Grab lunch, browse the shops, pick up last-minute Disney souvenirs or simply slow down after several packed park days.

Another option is resort hopping. Disney’s complimentary transportation network connects many resorts, theme parks and Disney Springs, making it possible to explore without renting a car.

Just remember to leave enough time to retrieve your luggage and travel to the airport.

Send Your Luggage Ahead to MCO

If you’d rather not return to your hotel, you can also send your luggage ahead.

Bagzee offers luggage pickup and airport delivery in Orlando, including pickups from hotels, Airbnbs and other addresses. Your bags are collected and delivered to secure storage at MCO, where you retrieve them before checking in with your airline.

That means you can check out, hand off your suitcases and spend the afternoon exploring without building a return trip to your hotel into your schedule.

Make Checkout Day Part of the Vacation

Disney checkout day doesn’t have to mean sitting in a hotel lobby or heading to MCO six hours early.

Whether you use Disney luggage storage, leave your bags with Bell Services or arrange Disney-to-Orlando-airport luggage delivery, the goal is the same: make those final vacation hours usable.

Have lunch at Disney Springs. Visit another resort. Take one last family photo. Then head to the airport when it’s actually time to fly.

Your vacation isn’t over when you check out.
