Step 4: Enjoy NYC Luggage-Free

When you’re ready, head to the airport and stop by the Smartecarte luggage storage counter inside Terminal 1 (arrivals/ground level). Present your ID and unique code to retrieve your luggage.

Where can I use Bagzee?

Bagzee is currently available in New York City, offering service to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

Do I pay a separate storage fee for Smartecarte?

No. The total price shown in the app will cover luggage pickup, delivery, and storage. There are no additional charges when you collect your luggage at the airport.

Does Bagzee check in my bags?

No. Our airport storage location is Pre-TSA. After collecting your luggage, you will need to check them in yourself.

Where do I pick up my bags at the Airport?

All bags are stored inside Smartecarte’s luggage storage facility located on terminal 1 on the ground level (arrivals floor). You will need your ID and your trip code from the app to retrieve your luggage.

What if my flight departs from a terminal other than Terminal 1?

After picking up your luggage, you may use the AirTrain or JFK’s shuttle service to reach your departure terminal.

How do I know my bags will be at the airport on time?

When you place a request, you’ll set your pickup time – which is the earliest you can collect your luggage. We’ll confirm your bags can be at the airport by then – if not, your request won’t be accepted

When should I set my pickup time?

We recommend at least 3 hours before your flight to ensure you have enough time to retrieve your bags, check them in, and pass through TSA.

Can I use Bagzee if I’m not flying out of JFK?

No. Currently, airport policies restrict this service to passengers with flights departing from JFK only.

What is the longest I can store my bag?

You can store your bags for up to 24 hours. You must have a confirmed flight departing from JFK within this time frame.
