Things to Do Near Sunset Walk and Margaritaville Resort on Your Last Day

The Promenade at Sunset Walk and the Margaritaville Resort Orlando area offer one of the easiest self-contained departure days in West Kissimmee. Restaurants, shops, entertainment, hotels, and resort amenities are clustered around a pedestrian-friendly outdoor district near US-192.

You can have brunch, browse local vendors, see live music, or watch a movie without purchasing another Disney ticket or crossing the Orlando metro area.

Bagzee intends to provide pre-flight luggage pickup from Orlando-area resorts and vacation rentals, but MCO is currently listed as coming soon. Check whether service has launched at Margaritaville or your nearby property before planning around it.

Start With the Promenade

Sunset Walk contains restaurants ranging from casual food to full-service dining, along with shops, beauty services, entertainment, and public events. The district sits within walking distance of Margaritaville Resort, affiliated cottages, and nearby hotels.

Begin with breakfast or an early lunch. Walking through the Promenade before choosing a restaurant lets you assess the weather, crowd level, and how much time remains before departure.

Let the Calendar Decide the Entertainment

Sunset Walk schedules live music, artisan markets, car shows, dancing, and recurring evening programs. Events can vary by day and season, so review the current calendar instead of assuming a particular show will be happening.

The artisan market currently operates on selected Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, while weekly automotive gatherings are also part of the district’s schedule. These events are best for late flights because many begin after the afternoon heat has eased.

When nothing is scheduled, choose an arcade, escape room, cinema, or one other entertainment venue. Sunset Walk includes enough options that you do not need to leave the complex.

Use Your Resort Until Checkout Really Ends

Margaritaville and surrounding hotels may offer pools, restaurants, spas, and guest spaces. Ask whether registered guests can continue using any facilities after checkout and whether changing rooms are available.

Do not assume that Island H2O Water Park can fit into a short departure window. A water-park visit requires admission, changing time, weather planning, and a place to shower afterward.

Time the Trip Across Orlando

With three hours, have lunch, browse the Promenade, and choose one shop or entertainment stop. With five or six hours, add a scheduled market, movie, or resort activity.

Sunset Walk is on the western side of the tourism corridor, while MCO is southeast of central Orlando. Build in time for toll roads, heavy US-192 traffic, and rental-car return.

Let the last soundtrack come from the Promenade’s outdoor stage. Finish the meal, listen through one more song, and leave while the evening crowd is arriving—not while your flight is boarding.
