Our Story

Bagzee was born out of a real travel frustration faced by our co-founder, Bilal, in 2019. During an externship in Chicago, he encountered a common problem: an early hotel checkout with a late flight left him struggling with what to do with his luggage. The hotel’s option to hold his bags was inconvenient, requiring extra trips and wasted time, which could have been spent exploring the city. Ultimately, he ended up dragging his luggage around all day, limiting his ability to fully enjoy the experience.

This situation highlighted a widespread issue faced by millions of travelers—whether it’s managing luggage after checkout or dealing with multiple bags while traveling with family. The inconvenience is universal.

Inspired by these challenges, the Bagzee solution was born. Our service allows travelers to explore freely without being weighed down by their luggage, offering a convenient and efficient way to have bags safely delivered to the airport or destination. Bagzee is designed to make your travel experience smoother, so you can focus on what really matters—enjoying your journey.

Cost-Effective: Bagzee charges $1.50 per mile plus $10 for the first bag, with an additional $5 for each extra bag. This pricing structure is significantly more affordable compared to less efficient solutions

Safety

Verification
  • Extensive Background Check of Drivers: Covers Global Watchlist Records, National Crime Records, County Criminal search, and our own internal review.
  • Account Verification: Passengers must upload ID and photo, background check with TSC “No-Fly” List
Tracking
  • Required Agreement: Before submitting luggage request, passengers must adhere to TSA-prohibited item checklist.
  • Real-Time Tracking: Entire luggage journey is monitored in with live GPS tracking, accompanied with trip codes and confirmation of Hand-off to a Bagzee employee.
Dual-Confirmation

Protocol: Throughout the journey, both passengers and drivers are required to confirm hand-off and delivery of luggage at every stage. 

Locks
  • Locks: Bagzee will recommend all passengers use TSA-approved locks. 
  • Future Vision: Our goal is to make this a requirement, as we work to ensure availability of these locks for passengers who do not own them.
Airport
  • On-Site Staff: A Bagzee employee to be stationed at the airport.
  • ETD Safety: Trained member will conduct ETD safety check for luggage on arrival with TSA-qualified ETD (Rapiscan Itemiser 5X).
  • Pick-up: Hand-off to the rightful passenger after presentation of a unique trip code and ID verification. 
Luggage Record

Detailed Luggage Record: This includes all ongoing & completed trips as well as information on all personnel handling luggage with detailed data for every trip securely stored in our backend database.
